I am a marine ecologist with a strong passion for the colours, textures, contrasts and movements provided by the natural environment. My interests have taken me to 19 countries around the world, from under the seas to the tops of mountains. I have worked on remote tropical islands and in alpine wilderness and whenever possible have tried to retain photographic memories. This website is a tribute to some of these places.

For the last 3 years my main interests have been in coral reef ecology. As a result I try to devote as much time as I can accumulating images relating to some of the many issues facing coral reefs. Many of these images can be found on this website along with a growing number of articles on a wide variety of conservation related subjects. Most recently I have been working as a Fisheries Observer for the Indian Ocean tuna fishery.
